The Bfreehomes Level I Deep Energy Retrofit Roadmap starts where an ecoENERGY audit leaves off. We perform a detailed analysis of heat loss/heat gain of your house and then develop several integrated energy savings scenarios for the building envelope (insulation, windows, draft proofing) and mechanical systems for space and water heating (including solar thermal/hot water, grey water heat recovery). This Roadmap looks at several deep energy saving scenarios, in phases, with associated energy saving reductions.

The Level II Deep Energy Retrofit Roadmap is where we work with you to refine and clarify the Level I phases based on your budget and a time frame that you are comfortable with. We prepare bid documents and solicit bids from reputable contractors. Once the estimates are in hand, we carry out a detailed financial valuation in order to assess your return on the investment in your house. This analysis takes into account all relevant cash flows related to energy savings measures, including initial installation costs, rebates, annual operating costs and cost of capital.
