A good example of Bfreehomes organisational consulting is the work we are currently doing for an energy efficiency organisation in one of Canada's largest provinces.

The project consists of analysing the cost of achieving certain whole house energy reduction targets by researching conventional building code-compliant practices and consulting with builders on the real and associated costs of various upgrades. This project is studying the "real" cost of implementing energy conservation measures, advanced mechanical systems and renewable energy technology to incrementally reduce whole house energy consumption to reach the specified annual energy-use targets.

Bfreehomes has provided the organisation will concrete recommendations in the following areas:

- Technical observations and recommendations with respect to building envelope, mechanicals and renewables based on detailed building science research.

- Capacity Building to address the need for affordability of energy-efficient construction and the required education and training for builders, trades and municipalities in preparation for the next version of the building code.

The next logical step in working with energy efficiency organisations, utilities, municipalities, government agencies and crown corporations in assisting with the detailing of strategies and plans and then providing the capacity building to implement by being fast, focused and flexible via The Agile Model®.
